Happy Birthday!

Last Friday, my son and I were talking about his time at the Child Development Center and he tells me that his class is going to be having a birthday party.  I, being the supportive Mom that I am, said the appropriate oohs and aahs as he talked about the party.  At which point he invites me to join the party and I ask him when it is.  He proceeded to count the days for it then he says it’s for everyone.  It took me close to another 5 minutes to figure out what he was talking about when he mentioned the “stars and stripes flag” then it clicked when I put that against his day count.  So, based on my five year old, I have this to say:

Happy Birthday United States!

English: A child's birthday celebration
